Forest Bathing | Nature Therapy
'It is time to realise that you are a member of the Universe, that you are born of Nature itself, and to know that a limit has been set to your time. Use every moment wisely...' ~ Marcus Aurelius

What is Forest Bathing? In simple terms Forest Bathing (also known as Nature Therapy) is walking mindfully in nature. Unlike a typical walk in the park when we might be chatting or listening to a podcast, when we walk mindfully, we slow down and connect to nature by engaging our senses and paying attention to colours, patterns and textures, smells and sounds. We are fully present.

Contact with nature is as vital to our wellbeing as exercise and a healthy diet. Our rhythms are the rhythms of nature. As we walk mindfully through a forest we become in sync with nature and we begin to heal: our blood pressure and stress levels are lowered, our mood is boosted and we have increased energy. Anxiety and depression are decreased as we begin to relax. Our brain recharges, allowing us to focus better when we return to our day.

Ciaran offers one:one and small group Forest Bathing sessions in Hampstead Heath and Regent's Park. Her sessions have helped people with grief, low mood, poor sleep, anxiety and depression.
